We Lost. . . Again
So, we lost. And when I say we lost, I mean, we got our butts handed to us. But our second-string did very well. In fact, when Valencia thought that we had given up, and had put their second and third-string players, we ran the ball right down their throats for two touchdowns, two successful conversions, and we forced them to put their first-string guys back out. This loss has really shocked us, and made us very angry. it has also forced the coaching staff to re-evaluate who they have in the starting line-up. My D-Line coach even went so far as to deliver an ultimatum. He said that anyone who shows that they can play and do what has to get done, will start. So what does this mean? Well, for one, it means that I may have another chance at earning a starting position, and two, it means that we are going to have to do some soul searching. We as a team, though young, are going to have to figure out if we have what it takes to win a championship, to see if we are willing to put in the hard work it's going to take to accomplish our goals. And one of those goals is to be able to play another game HERE. We'll see what happens on Monday.
