Today Was A Good Day

Well, today was a good day. It was pretty easy, which my knee must have liked because it didn't hurt that much. It only hurt while I was stretching and while I was lifting, which is a big improvement. I made some great blocks, and some not so great blocks, but the good ones outweighed the bad ones, which means I'm improving, which is a good thing. I also found out one of my coaches is former US Army Special Forces and I had an interesting discussion with him inbetween sets. But that's enough about football for today, there are more important things going on. First and foremost, is that SMASH is in need of a new job. Go help him out if you can. It also seems that my comments have been rather empty lately. No big deal, just hoping that it's because everyone is busy. Hope y'all are doing well, would hate to have anything bad happen to anyone.

Blackfive has another of his Someone You Should Know posts up. It is about Casey Sheehanand his valorous actions in Iraq. Forget his mother's actions for a while and go read this post. It is very moving. Thank you very much Specialist Sheehan, your country appreciates your sacrifice.

Neptunus Lex pointed me towards this little piece about those America-haters in Hollywood. It rings very true also. Perhaps you don't fully understand what I'm getting at, perchance a quote would help.

Look at Hollywood now. Sean Penn goes to Iraq and apologizes for American war crimes. Hollywood’s patron saint is Michael Moore, its liturgy his package of lies, the movie “Fahrenheit 9/11.” When this film had its Hollywood premiere, the red carpet was choked with stars just dying to make an anti-Bush statement. We’re talking about movie stars who know basically nothing about politics. To call them fools would be generous. I have spent time with too many of these people, and believe me, if you’re not talking about how beautiful or how talented they are, the conversation sort of just dies.

It is, I kid you not, a badge of honor in Hollywood to hate America. These airheads who have amassed millions through the free market economy constantly spout nonsense about the need for a Scandinavian style socialist government. They don’t even know that the Scandinavian countries are economic basket cases. I’m not making this up. They actually cruise Sunset Strip in their Bentleys and accuse Republicans of being greedy.

From everything I've ever experienced, those in Hollywood are self-involved, hypocritical, arrogant, uninformed, ignorant, communist-leaning, democracy-hating, hippies. You can be addicted to cocaine and molest children AND still get a job in Hollywood, provided of course you fit the description of hippie liberal, who votes Democratic every time. This is not a false stereotype, not a broad generalization, it is the truth. Provided there are a few exceptions, but Conservatism is a mortal sin in Hollywood. If you are a Republican in hollywood, you will be blacklisted. Everyday, I have to deal with people who have been brainwashed by the likes of Michael Moore, George Clooney, Hanoi jane Fonda, and the various other DNC shills and mouthpieces for peace, love, unity/communism, the downfall of America and democracy, anti-zionism/anti-semitism, and everything else that stupid that liberals have said. And quite frankly, I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT!

I'm fed up with the ignorance and the hatred towards America. I'm sick of the anarchists and nihilists. I'm sick of the bigots and racists and terror apologists. I'm sick of everytime I open my mouth to comment on politics and my worldview, getting called a babykiller, warmonger, dumbass, Bush drone, greedy, Capitalist, Zionist, racist, Ku Klux Klan, world terrorist, fascist, Nazi, haliburton supporting simpleton. I am almost never countered by rational thought or any proper evidence, it is always an ad hominem attack. There are a few exceptions, and I welcome those discussions. But really all I want to do is get out of Los Angeles and as far away from these people as possible. That's why, when I turn eighteen, I'm going to a college in the Midwest or on the East Coast, or in the South, and if I can't get into a college I'm joining the military. Anything, to get away from these nutcases. And thus ends my little rant.

And getting back to my blogwatch, it seems that El Capitan was involved in a car crash. I'm glad he and his son got away with just a few scratches and bruises and nothing major. Bruises and cuts and scrapes heal easily, paralysis and and death don't. Glad no one was hurt. The cars don't look that bad either, totalled no doubt, but no that badly. At least, coming from me. I totalled my dad's truck a lot worse than that, and was lucky to walk away alive. . . . . But that's a tale for another day. Also, for all those wondering about the quote "useful idiots", I have an article to clear up any misconception. Thanks, Chap.

So I think that will do it for tonight. I need to get some sleep for the Double Day tommorrow. Gute Nacht. God Bless America and all those brave souls who protect her. To all you soldiers, sailors, airmen, and especially Marines, sleep peacefully tonight, your service is appreciated and we are all praying for you. Hang in there, you're all doing great things. La buona notte ed il dio benedicono.
